Group discussion assignments

For group discussions, Aspiring PIs can choose whichever room they would like - please do your best to evenly distribute so that no room gets too crowded! The experienced PI / program officer assignments for group discussions are available in the “EPI-Rooms-2:00” and “EPI-Rooms-5:00” tables below.

One-on-one discussion assignments

There are three one-on-one sessions: 2:30pm, 3:00pm, and 5:30 pm. Experienced PIs (EPIs) stay in the same room between 2:30 and 3. Aspiring PIs (APIs) switch rooms every 30 minutes. Within each room, there are enough experienced PIs such that every aspiring PI in that time slot can have one 5 minute conversation with an experienced PI / program officer. For Aspiring PIs, when you are not currently speaking with an EPI/PO, we encourage you to network with / pitch your project ideas to other aspiring PIs in your session.

Zoom-based one-on-one discussions

Two NSF program officers are joining virtually via zoom for one-on-one discussions in small rooms (JCL 331 and JCL 329). If you are not currently discussing with the PO, please wait outside the room.

Please keep your one-on-one discussions to 5 minutes each so that everyone gets a chance to chat.
